Comparisons are odious – but as a poet I have to say that whatever Moriel’s effort lacks in rhythmic correctitude, it is not only funnier but truer to the spirit of a limerick. Sorry!
How about
Dear Obama, your speech was quite elegant
But there in the room was an elephant.
You should buy better glasses
Or stop licking a..ses –
Then your words won’t seem quite so irrelevant.

The sentiment is right, as always, Mori, but that thing has nothing to do with a limerick, which is a 9-9-6-6-9 meter and rhyming structure, like this:

Barack, avoid being asinine
Please hear the voice of Palestine
Honor the occupied
Expose the apartheid
End the horror of U.S. Frankenstein
